Stalling problem
« on: October 24, 2007, 08:14:49 PM »

Hi, If I connect to a site, and leave that connection open for a few hours, and later try to say open a folder, I stall forever. If I try to break the connection, I still stall, and have to quit yummy. If I re-open yummy and re-connect, I instantly can see folder contents. I get this on all my sites. Why does this happen? Thanks!

It sounds like you're  behind a router/firewall that drops connections after a pre-determined amount of inactivity time, without notifying the connection owner of it. This is a common problem with router/firewalls and not specific to Yummy.

I don't think it should be necessary to quit Yummy. Try setting the 'Reconnect after inactivity time' slider to 30 secs in the Error Recovery tab of the Preferences. The default setting of 2 minutes seems like forever when you're staring at the screen, so you probably gave up before that time passed.

Let me know if that resolves it.
