Syncronization questions
« on: September 14, 2009, 09:37:39 PM »

Hey there,

Yummy FTP appears to be a great app! Confident in the purchase I made.

I've just got a few questions that I haven't figured out through digging yet.

1. First, I understand Yummy FTP needs to be OPEN for scheduled syncs to occur.

2. I understand scheduled syncs are tied to the bookmark of the server in which I created them. Great, but where do I view these scheduled syncs or make changes?

3. Do I need to be connected to the FTP/SFTP server, or is the application simply being open enough for it to auto connect + sync?

4. Any logs I can look at to check on the progress of a scheduled sync that happened over the weekend?

Thanks for the help! Great product Wink

Firstly, thank you for the kind words! Smiley

1. Yes, Yummy needs to be running.

2. It's a little convoluted at the moment, but this will change in the future. You need to connect using your Bookmark, then select 'Show Queue Drawer' from the View menu. You will see your scheduled sync(s) in the Queue. Click on the one you want to edit and click the clock icon in the Queue drawer. You can remove a scheduled sync by clicking the X button.

3. Yummy will automatically open the connection. Yummy just needs to be open, nothing more.

4. Full logging is a feature that will be coming soon. However, you can get notification of successful/failed syncs by using Growl (www.growl.info) which has a handy 'email me' option... you can get the notifications emailed to you.
