Return key Action
« on: October 29, 2009, 10:31:58 AM »

Hi ya,

i'm new to Mac & Ymmy FTP.. actually i just bought it 2 days ago. i have been deciding which ftp software to buy for a while and decide to pick yummy ftp because of it's speed.  (I do like the favorite draw on transmit very much and would love to see that in Yummy FTP)

anyway, my question is in Preference.. i set the Return key Action to 'Transfer selection only'  but when i use the program and hit the return key (i assume it's the enter key). it doesn't transfer the file. the 'Rename' file action is activated instead.

i'm not sure i config it wrong or not?

regards,
Thanyaluk

Hi Smiley

You need to hit the Return key. Enter key always starts to edit the name. All seems to be working for me in 1.8.1

Maybe your keyboard is different. On mine Return is above the right Shift key. Enter is on my numeric keypad.

No, not silly at all. This is a special behavior of Yummy because generally speaking they actually do perform the same function in most apps and of course this is also the default behavior in Yummy. But it was nice to be able to customize the behavior of the return key action, while still keeping access to the name editing shortcut via the enter key. Best of both Wink
