Logging

Hi. Love YummyFtp. Are there any plans to include some form of email notification? Growl seems to be not working at this and it would be really handy to have in some instances.

I do have it on my To Do list to have a self-contained email option, but with the Growl solution available there is little reason to make it high priority.
For what it's worth, I've just tested Growl's MailMe 'display style' in 10.5.8 and 10.6.2 without any problems, so it seems that you must have a configuration error for it not to be working for you.
Basically the requirements are :
1. Working email account in Mail
Within the Display tab of the Growl system preferences:
2. Recipient email address must be specified in the MailMe display style settings 3. Default Style set to MailMe
Note that in the Applications tab you can select different display styles for different notifications, so you could (for example) have the default Bezel style for all notifications apart from Yummy's "Synchronization Completed" which is set to the MailMe style. With that setup you'd only get email notifications for synchronizations.

Yeah, I think growl would work but..,
I have a multiple of FTP connections for a variety of clients. I have an FTP watcher on one folder per client. I think it would be amazing to be able to set an email rule per connection and per FTP watcher so as to update each client when there is something to download. I think the software is amazing and without wanting to oversimplify a obviously very clever bit of code, it would be great to have a check box per watcher with an email option.. Then I think this would be perfect. I know there is a work around but this would be far more elegant and also seems like something a few people are asking for..

For a while I had a sort of need like that, but somehow I didn't warm to using Growl.
I think I've far prefer to have Yummy itself write a persistent log. Maybe even a kind of 2 part log, one being the transcript that does occur during as ftp connection (you can do that live, but it's less than useful if you sign off or the transfer was made via a droplet), and maybe another one that was more akin to the kind of things one sees via Growl.
