Connection question
« on: August 27, 2007, 12:17:13 PM »

I am curious why does it have to reconnect to the server every time I upload a file.  Most other ftp programs I use have a keep alive function that will keep it connected to the ftp server.  Is there a function like this in Yummy?  It's a great program other than that issue.  Slows down transfers because it has to connect each time I transfer something.  Also, really slow connecting to sftp.

Thanks.

You can un-check the 'Allow multiple connections' checkbox in the Transfers panel of the preferences to stop Yummy opening additional connections. This will cause the same connection to be used for all actions, but of course this means you won't be able to do anything else while a file is uploading. If your uploads are quick it doesn't matter but for longer transfers it is a big drawback.
