Manual updating
« on: January 12, 2008, 10:00:27 AM »

When I am on my FTP server renaming files, YummyFTP updates them right away. Is there a way so that I can rename all of my files without YummyFTP updating them automatically? In other words I would like to invoke an update manually.

No, the update is triggered automatically and you can't disable that.

There is only one way to do what want, but it would require you to enter the changes via the transcript view:

you enter:
RNFR NameOfFileToRename
and press Return key

server replies:
350 File exists, ready for destination name

you enter:
RNTO NewNameForFile
and press the Return key

server replies:
250 RNTO command successful.

and so on.

You could batch rename like this, then manually update the listing.
