"Oversized" window, unable to reduce it (re-installing, upgrading did not work)
« on: January 18, 2008, 07:46:17 AM »

Running a registered YummyFTP 1.7 on OS X 10.5.1

I have a big UI problem : I recently had to resize a widow with the bottom right handle (sorry for my english, I am french) and streched it to the max size. Something must have happened because the widow streched beyond the bottom of the screen and now I am unable to resize it !

It happens for every site bookmarked, as if it had been saved into the user preferences or something.

If  I use Exposé when Yummy is opened I see a HUGE window (4 times the height of my desktop).

I uninstalled, re-installed : didn't work.
I upgraded to latest 1.7.1b5 : didn't change a thing.

I tried to give a look at yummy system files, but I wouldn't know where to look for window size prefs...
How can I reset this

It's pretty annoying, since I can't see the transfer list anymore

Also - probably related to that huge window size - when I open Yummy system resources raise to 75% (running a 2.4GHz Core2Duo here, iMac 20").

This topic has been discussed several times in the forum. It is a known problem for 1.7 which is fixed in later betas, so it can't happen again but unfortunately, once it has happened in 1.7 you need to reset the window size to fix it.

Do this:

1. Open connection
2. If available, Select 'Hide Queue Drawer' from the View menu
3. If available, Select 'Hide Preview Drawer' from the View menu
4. Click the green + button at the top left of the browser window
5. Now grab the bottom right handle and resize to your preferred size

Sorry, I used search and read the forum before posting but didn't find what I was looking for.
