UPLOADING HELP
« on: August 31, 2006, 12:37:15 AM »

Hi everyone
I am using Dreamweaver to design a new website.  This is done.
I already have a website for my band which is uploaded - created by someone else.
I have created a new one - uploaded the files into a different folder, however, I cannot see or connect to this webpage.
I need to test it before I upload it to the real web address for the band.
I have spoken to the IT guys - also the ADSL help line - to Apple care - and no one can help cause either they are not using Mac's or don't provide IT support for Mac's - or as Apple said; we don't support Yummy software help cause its not developed by them!!!!
Anyway - I am new to this game - I am not an IT specialist!
This has been my procedure so far:
Bought a web template
Transferred pictures and content into Dreamweaver
Bought Yummy FTP (brilliant programme!)
Uploaded html files onto the ftp connection for current website, however, into different folder so public can't see.
What next!!???
Really frustrated as the support from ADSL guys and MAC has been very dissapointing.
Regards
Chrissa

Hi chrissa,

Contact me via email: support at yummysoftware dot com

Send me your web site address, and you server details (server, username, password) and I'll sort out what the problem is. Note that I shouldn't be doing this since it's really rather a problem with your webhosting than Yummy FTP, but I'm too nice a guy to turn you away  Grin

In future though, please post to a single section - posting the same topic in multiple areas won't get me or anyone else to help you any quicker, and it's just a little annoying Wink

Cheers,
Jason

I'll get you the details and do that right away.
The web guy is out tonight so I'll have details for you tomorrow.
So happy now.
By the way, cause I was new, I had never use forum before and so I didn't know what I was doing when posting.  However, I've gone through and deleted them cheers.
