Struggling with FTP Watcher
« on: July 04, 2012, 06:27:14 AM »
Hi,

I've set up an FTP watcher like this: navigated to the cr2012 dir in the server, and saved an FTP watcher inside my local cr2012 dir. I've run it, and got the Watchers On message, but when I edit files, the watcher never seems to pick them up. Have I set it up correctly?

Best wishes,
Rog

Are you using FTP Watcher v1? This isn't really suited to a multi-level folder hierarchy, such as that of a website. It watches only the root level.

From your description I think you need FTP Watcher v2 which can be purchased as a separate product:

Hi,

Sorry, should have been more specific - I've just bought YummyFTP and I'm using the FTP Watcher functionality in that.

Cheers,

Yes, the FTP Watcher capability that comes free with Yummy FTP is FTP Watcher v1

Try the demo of Yummy FTP Watcher v2 to see if it suits your needs.
