Just as a followup, georges reported that the new version of Yummy FTP did indeed fix the problem.

I'm unsure why it would be a problem, but undoubtedly the NFS location for your Home folder is the cause.

Please contact me (support at yummysoftware dot com) to get a copy of the latest beta build of Yummy FTP to see if that fixes the problem. If not, I'll look into it further.

Glad to hear you got your speed issue resolved

The message means that your server will only allow 3 simultaneous connections at once. By default, Yummy FTP uses up to 5. You can reduce this to 3 in the Max. Connections Per Server setting in the Transfers tab of the Preferences.

I don't know for sure, klkl. Maybe there was some anomaly with your ADSL line at the time. What speeds do you normally get from those servers and what is you ADSL line speed?

I think the only way to proceed with this is if I take a look myself.

Please email me (support at yummysoftware dot com) and send me your login details for the server. I'll see what's going on and very likely get it working for you.

I've never heard of those settings not working for those 'hidden' files, so I suggest trying again, after closing your connection window and/or quitting and re-launching Yummy. The .snapshot directory should show up for you to double click on and then see its contents. If not, let me know what Dreamhost says, please.

Ok, in that case you need to enable the 'Issue LIST -la command' checkbox, underneath the 'Show invisible items' checkbox of the Interface tab in the Preferences window. You might want to enable the 'Show invisible items' checkbox so that you always see these 'hidden' files in future.

I don't think you need SSL in order to access this hidden directory - it simply uses the Unix convention of the name starting with a period in order to indicate it is hidden.

To show the 'hidden' items, select the 'Toggle Hidden Files' option in the 'Listing' menu.

To change directory using the raw command option, you need to enter CWD .snapshot although I think you'll prefer the menu option

It certainly won't be in the upcoming release - I'm tailing off the development of the next version ready for release, so now is not a good time to add a major new feature. But I'm definitely looking into it for a future update.

I used the Alt key since Control-click on the Refresh icon in the Toolbar will open the Toolbar context menu.
