When I get around to it, yes. There's no reason why not. At the moment, you can embed an AppleScript in your work flow for Yummy FTP and that will work just fine.

Yummy FTP / Problems & Bugs / Re: Changing to active mode.

By default, Yummy FTP will automatically switch between Passive and Active FTP depending on your server and/or firewall, however this can sometimes be time consuming, and Passive FTP is tried first by default.
You can change the default to be Active FTP in two ways:
1) For new connections (ie not Bookmarked) un-check the 'Default to Passive FTP (PASV)' checbox in the 'Server Options' tab of the Preferences, then click the 'Save' button
2) For Bookmarked connections, you will need to edit each Bookmark in turn as follows: a) Select 'Show All Bookmarks' from the 'Bookmarks' menu b) Click on a Bookmark to edit from the list shown c) Click the 'Edit' toolbar icon d) In the 'Advanced Options' tab, un-check the 'Use passive FTP (PASV)' checkbox e) Click the 'Save' button
Note that if you do not wish Yummy FTP to automatically switch between Passive and Active FTP, you can un-check the 'Auto-detect Active/Passive mode' checkbox in the 'Server Options' tab of the Preferences.

It seems I broke something here. It was intended that the location you move the progress window to should be remembered. I'll fix this in the next beta, which will be available shortly. Thanks for finding this!

Version 1.1.5 was released at the end of October 2005, so that's just over two months ago. I don't think that's a really long time, especially when you consider that I took a long break during the Holiday season But as it happens, I do have a big update in the works, with lots of nice new things. Some of them have been discussed in this forum, others I'm keeping to myself for now. I've been aiming to release this update some time within the next month or so, however, it turns out that there is a bug in v1.1.5 (see my Important Announcement posting) which I'd like to address sooner than later, so I'll be releasing a v1.1.6 very soon which will fix this issue and include a handful of the new things I'd planned for the big update. -Jason

Yummy FTP / Problems & Bugs / Re: File moving in local window

It appears that this is a bug in the OS when File Vault is enabled. The same bug affects other applications, for example Apple's own Automator app in Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) and any AppleScript which makes file system calls within the home folder protected by File Vault.
While I think it's unlikely that Apple will fix this bug in 10.3.9, it's certain that they will want Automator to work correctly, since it's one of the new features for 10.4, so sooner or later it will be fixed in a Software Update.

Yes, local file management is fully supported.
Since I've never heard of a problem in this area, please send a screen shot of your attempt to drop the file onto the parent directory. I'm looking for clues as to why this might fail, so I'd like to see the problem in action first of all.
Thanks, Jason

Sorry, I misunderstood you. Yes, having a favorite which associates both a local and remote directory at the same time would be quite useful. I'll add it as a feature request.

The implementation is already underway, but I've got a lot of things being developed simultaneously right now, so it's difficult to give an estimation. Real Soon Now?™ is the best I can come up with Beta testers are always very much welcomed. Just send me an email address you'd like notification of new betas to be sent to. Now to your suggestions: 1) This has been requested a lot and so I'm working on it. 2) Something like this is already planned. 3) Isn't the ability to re-order items in the Queue going to provide this already? 4) Would the New Connection option simply display the New Connection window? Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, Cmd-Down Arrow is effectively the same as Cmd-O in the Finder, which is of course the Open command.
In Yummy FTP, Cmd-Down Arrow to edit would clash with the existing Cmd-E to edit, and it is already mapped to the Enter Into Directory option in the Listing menu, so I don't think it makes sense to make the change you're suggesting. Is Cmd-E not useful for you in this situation?

As it happens, a standalone version of FTP Aliases is already planned It sort of fits in with the freebie trend that I'm seeing here, since you'll be able to distribute an unlimited number of FTP Aliases and the end-user will get the service for free. Although I have been thinking about how to license them, making a freebie out of them might be worthwhile. I would think that a registered copy of Yummy FTP would be required to edit them, however, or are you suggesting that they be completely self contained?
